newly released Filmation He-Man and The Masters of the universe OST

Can anyone find the newly released Filmation He-Man and The Masters of the universe "selections from the original TV series soundtrack". A MASSIVE thank you to any one with any info!!!

Have not heard of it. Which label released it, and can you link to the info?

well the most I am aware of at this point is the DVD Box Set that it comes with. the Proper name it of is "Masters of the Universe – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition" the link is below:

Well, that is not even released until tomorrow, so I am relatively sure that it is not out there yet. Someone would have to buy that set, and I don’t think I know someone who would. Not sure.

BTW it is a 22 dvd set for 89.99 on sale at amazon. The "soundtrack" is 11 tracks of music from the classic series, but is not sold separately as it is a bonus feature of the set. Stuff like this does not pop up on here often, often the collectors are two very different animals.

I too would love to get my hands on this, to see if there is any difference from the french soundtrack released forever ago…. Several themes were notably absent, and the mastering was iffy. Is there a tracklist out there?

Dunno. 11 tracks isn’t much, unless they are comprised of longer suites. Most of the really good action themes are missing from the French version.

I compared the tracks in the photo from the He-Man site of the CD, and the bonus CD in the set has THREE less tracks than the French tracks, but includes the two themes from the show at the end of the CD not in the French download. Stick with the French, unless you buy the DVD set. Also, the cover art is the same as the French.

Same track length and everything? What about the two other tracks?

I do not know the lengths, since I don’t have the CD, but the track names are the same, except Castle Grayskull. There are two castle themes, one is In Front of the Castle and The Castle. The two missing are Magic Planet and Snake Mountain. So really 3 tracks are not on it. The two last track listed on the CD I don’t have.

Glad I did a search for a thread for this before I made a new one. Just bought this set tonight and here is the OST that came with it.

Ripped @320 39MB Approx 20min long. Fun CD, but definitely not exhaustive.
