Here is the OST for Ligh… er, Thunder Force IV. (Bad enough they changed the name, but they couldn’t even spell it correctly? WTF?) Nevertheless, Thunder Force IV owns goats and melts your face! As with all my rips, this is recorded from the headphone jack of a Model 1 Genesis. (Technically from the line-outs of an attached Sega CD, but same thing.) The Genesis is an original model with "High Definition Graphics" above the cartridge slot, so there should be no distortion in the sound. Audio was captured using a Behringer U-Phono UFO202 and Audacity 2.0.1. Aside from some volume optimization, this is raw audio straight from an actual console, no emulation. Each looping track was allowed to play twice, then given a 10-second fade-out. Tracks are named and numbered according to the sound test mode, but track names from the official OST (http://vgmdb.net/album/467) are included as well. Holy crap, this was a project…

I’m a little embarrassed to admit I don’t have TF2 or 3 in my collection. However, I might get an Everdrive cart at some point in the future, in which case I might rip these.

Krikzz’s Mega Everdrive is wonderful ! Imported it with no custom taxes, worked perfect with most games (known issues on Mega Man and Forgotten Worlds, as far as I’ve heard), and playing those Streets of Rage hacks on a real console was a blast… I cannot do anything but to recommend it !

As for your awesome TFIV rip, downloading as we speak (meaning, as I write) ^^ Thanks !

Where did you order your Everdrive from? I’m planning on ordering one from the Retrogate store in a day or two, since it seems to be cheapest there. There are some Japanese games I plan to rip immediately…

Retrogate, sir ! It’s actually Krikzz’s own shop so the material comes directly from him in Europe (I’m French), cheapest price around.
Nice, simple package, with a small solid box which I still use to store the Everdrive when I’m on my other games.

I always sound very excited about it but this is simply a dream come true after the year I passed searching on eBay and other purchase websites to start my collection.
I’ve had it for several months so far and only tried the main feature (Mega Drive games, a few hacks, translation patched roms, a few Master System games, no 32X yet, never used the save state option even if it does work on some games).

Or I could resume all of this by saying : I played freaking Eliminate Down !!!

EDIT : thinking about Japanese games needing rips, both Battle Mania have terrible rips around the internet… which is a shame especially for Vintage. I’m just saying though, I hate asking and putting pressure on people when they already know what they’re doing (or will be doing ^^).

Great, many thanks for sharing this. I was totally blown away by the music (and the game).
Really looking forward to listen to this. Hope this sounds as good as i believe it will. =)

Amazing!!!! We need someone to do this for other consoles as well. I’m would but all my older systems are lost or broken and I don’t have good recording equipment.

Edit: Oh btw do you have Sonic 3?
