The DVD release of this film offered both scores and a commentary by Scott. Scott admitted that he regretted, in the long run, dumping the Goldsmith score due to studio pressure.

As the commentary continued it became clear that Scott had no idea what direction he was going with this film.

So in the long run even Goldsmith’s beautiful music attached to this wretched movie couldn’t save it.
