This is a rare one and one that I had looked for for years until finding it on a very obscure blog a couple of years ago. Three scores by one of the more prolific though under appreciated composers of the 1970’s, Fred Karlin. Karlin did mostly television soundtracks though he did get a few feature jobs as well. (Baby Blue Marine) These are three of his very best in my opinion collected here for a single promo.

The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman was a highly celebrated drama about a one hundred plus year old black woman born into slavery being interviewed by a white newspaperman in Alabama. It was the film that really launched Cecily Tyson into the mainstream. The music was a rich, dramatic piece of Americana capped by a gorgeous end title piece called "End Walk". I remember it clearly when I first saw the film way back in 1974. I have hunted for it ever since. It is presented here in full stereo in a digital mix down. It also includes a couple of tracks not in the film.

The other soundtracks here are the 1975 television film "Vampire" starring Richard Lynch and E.G Marshall. The third is from the mini series "Inside the Third Reich".

Total of 40 tracks. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

This sounds very interesting but I seem not to be able to get the link to work. Is this just me or is it positively offline? If offline, could somebody re-up? Would be appreciated.
