Banned for no reason, lift date never, then unbanned again?

I wanted to ask if there was an automatic spambot filtering system or something that was in place. For about five minutes today, I was banned with no reason listed and a lift date of "never". Not a usual event in my life! So, is there something that automatically activates a ban on the forums?

I read the ToS for the site years ago when I signed up, so if there’s something in there now or was then, I have probably forgotten about it (just going with the general "Be polite" and "Don’t do illegal stuff" rules of most forums for now).
