Anyway, to start the ball rolling, here’s my top 3!
1, The 2004 film version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ – Recording Sessions (song instrumentals/score only sessions – vocals were added afterwards)
2, Baz Lurhmann’s ‘Moulin Rouge’ – Recording Sessions (song instrumental/score only sessions – vocals were added afterwards)
3, Tim Burton’s ‘Sweeney Todd’ – Recording Sessions (song instrumentals/score only sessions – vocals were added afterwards)
My top three:
Harry Potter 3-8 sessions
Da Vinci Code sessions
The Honbit: An Unexpected Journey sessions (or just the brass versions of Over the Misty Mountains)
I hope one day I’ll have these…
2-The Polar Express Alan Silvestri Sessions
3-The Nightmare before Christmas Danny Elfman (Complete Score)
4-The Muppet Christmas Carol-Miles Goodman (Complete Score)
5 A Christmas carol Alan Silvestri (Recording Sessions)
1) The Lion King
2) Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith
3) Digimon: The Movie
4) Star Wars Episode II Attack Of The Clones
5) Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace (Yes, I know I just released my edit, but it’d be nice to be certain on this one)
6) The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride
7) Jurassic Park
8) Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade
9) Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom
10) African Cats
@ boosterrr – didn’t the Elfman/Burton 25th Anniversary set contain the complete score for Nightmare Before Christmas?

No it missed 2 minutes of score plus some tracks are not complete for example Overture and the opening are cut on the end of the track
In those two cases, weren’t they presented whole on the official soundtrack anyways?
I’m personally not going to split hairs over two minutes. Everything I can remember is in that set.

No on the official ost they are also cut

I don’t recall any specific mentions of higher-ups in the OP.
That’s why I quoted this to go along with my face-palm: so there wouldn’t have been any confusion.
I thought it might be an idea to create a thread where we can post what our top 3 most wanted scores are, and hopefully, someone out there that has them might post them for us – fingers crossed!

The only "someone’s" out there who are going to have the kinds of things that appear on this list are "higher-ups".
That does not mean nobody’s getting anything. Case in point, you should have tried getting anything out of scorepranos this time last year. He certainly counts as a ‘higher-up’. I’m not trying to turn this into an argument, but let’s just say what I’m saying is anything can happen. And, as bollemanneke said:
The higer-ups might make someone’s Christmas by PMs. Of course not everything will be done publicly.
1. "The Crush" (Graeme Revell)
Saw this on TV a couple times and instantly liked his low key orchestral score. Seems over half of his good stuff that is mainly orchestral, never gets released, but his synth soundscapes and junk, that’s out the wazoo.
Supposed to be a rare cast & crew promo, but never found any legitimate person who claimed to own it.
2. "Romeo + Juliet" (Craig Armstrong)
There’s a "promo" (probably a boot) listed at 67 minutes. Supposed to be SFX free.
3. "Zachariah" (Jimmie Hasekll)
There was a short LP release, but it’s never been on CD. Amazon has some MP3’s of it, but I don’t go for MP3’s. A good and clean LP transfer would sound great. Great little score.

I’m a higher-up who felt generous enough to share some actual Disney movie song instrumentals that no one has very recently on here 😉
Yeah, I think that’s what’s been overlooked: both you and scorepranos are higher-ups, and both of you have shared stuff I thought would never see the light of day. Higher-up is not synonymous with hoarder.

phantomman86,
Do you mean this version of the Phantom soundtrack –> or do you mean some version of this one with additional tracks/cuts etc.?
Yes, because I already have the albums, and the Ultimate Edition.
Oh! You have the Phantom Menace Ultimate Edition??! 😀 I’ve been looking for that one all over the forums (all the links are dead). Is there something I could give you in exchange (unfortunately, I don’t have any recording session versions of the Star Wars music or Indiana Jones.) :-\ Let me know if we can work something out. Thanks!

Fraid not. I have a policy of not uploading official soundtracks that are still in print, and in any case, by the sounds of things you don’t really have anything I’m after, unless I’m reading that wrong.
I’d love to have the Suite from the 1985 movie "D.A.R.Y.L.", composed by Marvin Hamlisch.
To my knowledge, there was never any release of it (if, in fact, a full Score was even composed)
I did purchase the "Soundtrack" LP from eBay a few years ago – One track, "Somewhere I Belong" performed by the late Teddy Pendergrass. This is the music I seek, but with lyrics.
I really hope there was a complete suite and someday it will turn up on some obscure compilation CD or "Recording Sessions" disc 🙂
D’you hear me, Santa?!? 😛
