Composer: Yuko Koshiro, Motohiro Kawashima
Here is the OST for Streets Of Rage 2, recorded from the headphone jack of a Model 1 Genesis. (Technically from the line-outs of an attached Sega CD, but same thing.) The Genesis is an original model with "High Definition Graphics" above the cartridge slot, so there should be no distortion in the sound. Audio was captured using a Behringer U-Phono UFO202 and Audacity 2.0.1. Aside from some volume optimization, this is raw audio straight from an actual console, no emulation. Each looping track was allowed to play twice, then given a 10-second fade-out. Tracks are named and ordered with respect to the official OST (http://vgmdb.net/album/33417).
Note: A track called Walking Bottom appears in a Japanese beta cart, but isn’t used in any final versions, and doesn’t appear in the sound test mode (although I wouldn’t be surprised if it was still buried down in the game code someplace). Without a Mega Everdrive cart, I’m unable to capture actual console-sourced audio of this track. Walking Bottom does appear on the Bare Knuckle I & II OST, so I’ve included a lossless rip of that track.

We need a re-up, stat!
Links working? I got the DepositFiles links up; I know that MediaFire can sometimes act weird with multi-part files.
Oh, and another incredibly ugly US cover… 😀

Yeah, I… have no idea what’s going on in that picture. You might want to check out my rip of the whole trilogy: Thread 126251
Not only does it have SOR 1 and 3, but I also re-ripped SOR2 from a different console and included my own audio capture of the Walking Bottom track.
Why not just download and convert yourself? Or do you have really slow internet / problems with mediafire, or a small bandwidth cap, or something?
In case you don’t know how easy it is, just install foobar2000, download and unzip the appropriate LAME MP3 bundle from RareWares (http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-bundle.php), load up the FLAC tracks in foobar2000, highlight and right click, hover on convert, click …, then output format, choose LAME, configure bitrate setting, go back, click convert, it will ask you to locate the lame.exe you unzipped earlier (you only have to do this part once), and then you’re done. You now have MP3s.

No problem, I’ll have this up sometime tomorrow or the next day.
