Hi,
Dose any body know if this was/is available, I know it wasn’t one of the best star trek movies, but I thought the music was good.

Cheers.

There’s an expanded, but not complete boot out there. Given the rush to get all the Trek film scores out by end of year, it’s likely we will see Insurrection from GNP (as they did for First Contact and Generations) soon.

Also, this is not the proper section of the forum for requests. Either requests go in the request forum, or, more informal questions often are posted in the Film Hunt Thread. The boot I have is 28 tracks, with a 76 minute run time. Is insurrection the last to get an official expansion?

I just notice this and Nemesis is the only 2 Trek films that don’t have an official complete score release I wonder what GNP, Intrada or FSM has to offer?

I think that more than likely Insurrection will have a complete release from GNP. Like the original soundtracks of First Contact and Generations, the Insurrection album was also made available from GNP, so seems obvious that the same label will at some point release Insurrection too.

Nemesis may be a bit more complex. It was released by Varese, so it depends on how long they have the music rights. If the rights belongs in perpetuum to Varese, then only them can launch a Deluxe edition of the score, which hasn’t happened so far.
But if the rights ceased to belong to Varese after some time (nobody knows when, but the movie is from 2002), then it depends when some other label acquire the rights over the music of Nemesis. Usual suspects might be Intrada and Lalaland.

Only time will tell, but i believe that when the new Trek movie will open (in 2013? 2014?), at that time every movie score of Star Trek will already have an official complete score edition.
