Seems to be a piece of score… It’s a very lovely, yet very sad piano composition.

Yea, that is a Snow trademark. Unfortunately I could not tell you the piece. There was a big set released recently, have you checked the track listing on that? Individual pieces probably don’t surface.

the compilation is called "The X-files Volume 1" and you can buy it on La La Land records. Four discs full of amazing music by Mark Snow. But the cue you’re looking for is not to be found on the first volume. The second one will be released in 2013, so maybe will you get it ^^ There is sooo much music during the show, they try to please everyone but it’s really difficult!
