The compressed file size of the 320 version is 771.9mb, which is far more than the 128k version (296.78mb) you’ll find here…

The difference in quality is marginal (relative to say the CD or FLAC Thin Red Line, which is 1508kbps), but you can hear the difference with good earphones.

Yes, the compressed file size, and file size in general, is higher with the higher bitrate you go. However, that means nothing. You could transcode it to 1kbps and then to FLAC and the FLAC version would have a huge filesize despite having probably no audio in it due to the massively lossy compression that comes in part with 1kbps.

What matters is the retention of frequency response.

Because the 320 was created from the 128, the 128 is still superior in quality. You cannot transcode lossy to lossy, you will just lose quality. Yes, the 320 has a higher bitrate, but this means absolutely nothing considering that it came from a file that is already lossy!. The highest bitrate you can have is 128 beacuse that’s what the source is. I am just saying, that posting a link to buy something that is inferior to something that is already available for free and in a superior quality, is just ridiculous, and uneeded.

It’s like with lossless audio, you can’t resample something from 48kHz to 96kHz, and espect it to be better. The source audio was recorded at 48kHz. Making it higher doesn’t add in quality that was never there to begin with.
