I wasn’t too satisfied with the emulated PSFs (the reverb/volume is off), and the PS1 OST has a different sound, so I recorded the whole thing (default settings). The streamed tracks (FMV) were extracted directly.
I didn’t have a PS1 at hand so I used a PS2. I believe the audio hardware is compatible (not sofware emulation like with the PS3) so it should be good enough.

Includes all tracks with names from the JP sound test where available, in a more sensical order (based on ToD PS2 OST).

Note that some tracks have a bug where a rogue note is sustained after looping (it’s very apparent in "Heat wave" and "Relentless assault").
This seems to be in every released version of the game, so there is nothing I can do.

Thanks for this. It has been so long since I played this gem. Too bad it’s combat has aged so terribly. Tales of Eternia still holds up, but ToD is clunky and slow. I do love everything else about the game though.

Thank you for the upload. I kind of wish it was in FLAC, though. :\

Is there anyone who might be so kind as to re-up this?

Same here, I can’t find the original PS1 soundtrack anywhere, so this would be more than welcome.

Too bad there are no lossless gamerips of this and Eternia anywhere. Still I hope they will be done someday.

I don’t remember where I got it (probably from this thread when the links weren’t dead), but I doubt that there are two different gamerips.

Thank you so very much, segaist! 🙂 I’ve been searching for this for ages now.

I do get a "temporary error" when trying to download the file, though. I guess I’ll try again later.

I tried downloading and had the same problem, megadownloader didn’t help, so I just reuploaded it and it works right now. I that repeats, then the problem is with mega. I updated the link.

Or not. Starting the download is not an issue now, but it always jumps back in the middle or stops at 99%. I’ve had these kind of problems with MEGA before.
If you have time, could you try using some other hoster like MediaFire? No need to hurry, though.

Have you tried Megadownloader (http://megadownloaderapp.blogspot.com/)? I once had the same problem and it helped. If it doesn’t, I’ll upload it to mediafire.

Awesome, MegaDownloader did the trick for me! Didn’t know about it until now, thanks again!
