No, this one comes from Spotify. If it’s not genuine a 320 kbps then just download Lilu’s iTunes one I guess. I haven’t checked it, but I just thought i’d share it anyway since I haven’t seen it on the forums yet. Well, I was a few minutes "late", but I didn’t know that someone else would post it at the same time! It would be nice if someone here could check it if it’s a transcode or not, since i’m curious too.. I can’t hear any difference on my "high-end gear" though.
Sound is probably very similar although the 320 file is about 24mb larger than the Itunes 256, that would be the only difference other than file type and Track#31 and the booklet those combined are about 5mb.
Thanks again for your upload.
and stylish , some people will be dissapointed , its a fresh take and thats what i like, track sixteen is well cool ….
I wonder if he’ll stop by and say hello and share some cake?
I wonder if he’ll stop by and say hello and share some cake?
Happy Birthday to him, but Im pretty shure he never wants to share some cakes here 😀

Hm, people are disappointed. I haven’t listened yet. Newman is a very good composer, I wonder what happened.
From the friends I know who have been lucky enough to get to see some of the early screenings, the movie is excellent, I had no doubt it would be. I just worried about the score, and how it would turn out and alas it looks to be one issue with the film.
Its not Eric Serra Goldeneye bad, but its not a Bond classic for sure.
I got a chance to see the film and its alright…..the word over-hyped comes to mind….I wouldnt put in my top 10 bond movies……..
As for the score……well its rubbish…..it deffo sounds like something from Remote Control……which seems the type of score the little kiddies of today go nuts for……The Zimmer………….unfortunately its not for me……..Serras Goldeneye score IMO is better than this Garbage
Thank You

I think a lot of people may end up agreeing with you on this one. The score is crap and I think the film will most likely be one of those action/CGI-fests with precious little story attached to it. Am that keen to see it, I’m more than happy to wait for the blu-ray release than go and see it at the flicks.
Newman was a nice very nice choice for this one !

The soundtrack sounds a bad omen … literally !
I suppose all Bond movies .. suffer from being over hyped but even the ones the critics didnt like to begin with or gave bad reviews later on, like Quantum of Solace, had enjoyable soundtracks and the music alone helped the movie along. I cant see this Skyfall soundtrack helping the movie at all. I havent been lucky enough to see the movie yet, but the flat, neutral music I’ve been listening to several times now doesnt seem to create images in my head of Bond doing the stuff we all love the movies for ..
It’ll have to rest on Adele’s shoulders for now … because, frankly, the Skyfall soundtrack almost puts me to sleep and will need a major rescue for Bond 24, nothing short of a multi organ transplant here !
Well the good thing about the film is that the story is pretty good and the action didnt seem to be cgi intensive and its not an action fest that Quantum of Shit (Solace) was…….What I did love about the film is that Daniel Craig was more traditional Bond….not the James Bourne from Casino and Quantum although I do struggle with Daniel Craig as Bond for some reason……maybe Im still stuck in the Connery days of Bond…..but he is really good in this movie……my problem is the Over-Hype this film is gettin in nearly the same way The Dark Knight Rises got….totally unjustified….some journalist I know were claiming its the greatest Bond film of all time and Daniel Craig is the first actor to dethrone Sean Connery as Bond….the fuck it is….over-hyperbolic BS

The score in the movie is awful….Garbage, couldnt remember anything about it……the folks that will love this will be the Remote Control and Zimmer fan club……..its like The producers and director trying to cash in on the Nolan and Zimmer fame of the Batman series while using the Bond elements of yesteryear…..actually thats the best way to sum up Skyfall as a movie as a whole

Yes .. me too, I dont think there will be a better bond than Sean Connery …
As soon as the media luvvies say its the greatest ever, its pinch of salt time … so, its safe to say we could be looking at a "Skyfail" here …
The soundtrack kind of leaves me with the picture of Lazenby saying at the start of OHMSS .. "This never happened to the other fellow …", swap "fellow" for composers Barry/Arnold !
Arnold has not retired from the franchise.
Director Sam Mendes chose to work with his frequent collaborator Thomas Newman instead.
Thomas Newman won’t be winning any awards with this one that’s for sure!
Nope, hopefully it works in the context of the film!
Thats because it is
Its not crap because its new and not the same old stuff…..its crap because its crap….and this comes from the guy that loves Serras Goldeneye score…..doesnt it seem strange that the best cue on the score is Breadcrumbs which is Arnolds version of the Bond theme
He certainly hasnt heard the same score as me….because I read things like themes and refreshing….which this score doesnt have
In response to some of the comments as to the score, I will say that I am definitely disappointed that David Arnold was not asked to score this. However, I can say that he will be on board if he is asked for Bond 24. He has always stated that he will score Bond as long as he is asked. I think he will be back in the future. Newman on the other hand, I think his sound here is interesting. I love the brass work in the track "New Digs" and "Mother". It reminds me so much of John Barry, but manages to be new and fresh. Now I wished the opening track would have been more orchestra, less electronic. It certainly doesn’t beat Arnold’s "African Rundown". I also think this score is missing the tenderhearted cues for the love interests. I think "Sevarine" is supposed to be one those and I like the uncertainty of it in the strings as they hint at security and danger. Again, David does this so much better in the music concerning Vesper in Casino Royale especially in the track "City of Lovers". With all that the score lacks, I still find it entertaining on the whole. Yes I am very disappointed that David Arnold wasn’t brought on to score it, but at least Hans Zimmer or his cronies weren’t chosen to score it. John Powell might have been a good pick, but Newman is similar although not as melodic as Powell.
Nothing to do with music. 18-Oct. My mum’s birthday as well. She is 79 and is very well.
What I meant to say is that, if the early good reviews about the movie stand, the soundtrack fits the movie more than being great on it’s own. Hell, Goldeneye was a great Bond movie, even with the average score.
As long as its better than Quantum of Shaky Cam…er, I mean Quantum of Failace, er…I mean, you know what I mean.
Gotta be honest, it’s not a patch on David Arnold’s scores, but nevertheless there were some pretty nice tracks – the latter half of Grand Bazarr/Istanbul sticks in my mind as a smooth arrangement of the Bond theme weaved into score. And thank goodness it’s not a godawful piece of musical dreck like Eric Serra’s Goldeneye….
i am in thinking there is one

Here you can find the bonus track Thread 122291
Theres no spoilers in the track listing, watched the film the other day.
But I did enjoy it, and i am hoping its huge box office, will ensure its definately within 2 years we get a follow up, I mean come on Barbara and Michael your father released a new and even bigger bond film every year for those first 4 years, no reason now that MGMs house is back in order you cant get one out every 18-24 months.

has anyone established yet, why they used David’s arrangement of the Bond theme. ( iam very happy they did, I love his arangement of it ) just odd that Newman didnt offer an arangement of it.

Because the producers insisted he use David Arnolds arrangement of it….hence why they commissioned it
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this great soundtrack with us.

Newman actually uses the Bond theme more than I expected him to, but not half as much as Arnold. For those wanting to imagine Bond action when listening, I can see how you’d want a constant barrage of low guitar and da-da-DAH-DAAAAHH every few seconds. For TN fans like myself, though, this is pretty enjoyable.
Here you go
01. Grand Bazaar, Istanbul – Bond finds Ronson, car chase, shootout and bike chase. Closes with Bond diving onto the train.
14. The Bloody Shot – Entire train sequence – shootout, digger scene, fight and Bond’s fall.
Adele’s Skyfall – Title sequence
02. Voluntary Retirement – Begins with Mallory’s line to M – "Retirement planning" and ends with M stopped by police on Vauxhall Bridge.
15. Enjoying Death – Bond lying in bed with the Turkish babe, drinking Heini, popping Benzedrine pills etc.
Konyali – Ensemble Hseyin Trkmenier – Bond bored out of his mind.
CNN Breaking New Theme #2 – Herb Avery – News of the attack.
Reprise of M’s theme from "Voluntary Retirement" – Bond epiphany and M at the funeral.
03. New Digs – Begins with the drive to the underground HQ, ends with a witty exercise montage (treadmill, sit-ups etc.), while Tanner plays Mr. Exposition on who the perpetrator of the attack could be. Ends with Bond unable to do any more pull-ups. .
10. Day Wasted – Begins with the "Skyfall – Done" exchange at the evaluation, followed by "Day – Wasted." Second half is Bond is Bond cutting out the bullets, and getting Tanner to do a ballistics report, identifying Patrice from three suspects who all use depleted uranium bullets.
05. Brave New World – Begins with Q showing Bond his gadgets, ends with Bond swimming a few laps at a rooftop pool in Shanghai.
06. Shanghai Drive – Bond in disguise at the airport watching Severine and Patrice, then tailing Patrice across the Yan’an highway.
Reprise of the mysterioso opening of Grand, Bizarre (IIRC without the brassy stinger) as Patrice kills the guards at the lobby, then follows Patrice across the first floor, using the dead bodies as footprints.
07. Jellyfish – Bond grabs onto the lift and tries to fight the pain. Ends with the assassination.
08. Silhouette – Begins with fight, and ends with Bond questioning a hanging Patrice (who doesn’t answer) until he’s sucked out by the wind current.
09. Modigliani – An admiring Severine spots Bond, he vanishes, and then he analyses the left-over machinery (rifle and glass cutter)..
17. Close Shave – Eve drops by.
31 Old Dog, New Tricks (unused) – Replaced by Moonlight – Jun Chen – Bond and Eve chat and she gives him a wet shave. Mallory’s military background is revealed..
13. Komodo Dragon – Cut to the Macau casino as Eve says "Old dog, new tricks" – Ends as Bond places his bet.
12. Someone Usually Dies – Very effective cue as Bond lets Severine know that he’s aware of her three bodyguards, he identifies the tattoo on her wrist, wins her trust, raises a glass to the three thugs. Reminiscent of the beach scene with Bond and Domino in TB, along with Bond and Viv in Fleming’s TSWLM.
19. Granborough Road – The pit fight with Komodo Dragons
04. Severine – The shower scene.
16. The Chimera – Severine’s yacht (the Chimera) taking Bond to Silva’s island.
Charles Trenet – Boum – The William Tell scene.
Silva’s Capture – Bond theme appearance.
Silva shows his deformity.
11. Quartermaster – Analysing Silva’s computers, Silva preparing to escape, and Bond chasing him through the tunnels.
18. Health & Safety – Bond enters the tube train and says to a worker "health and safety."
19. Granborough Road (reprise) – Silva gets off (that sounded wrong), the escalator sliding, and back to the tunnels. Can’t remember what the Bond theme at the end was for.
20. Tennyson – Tense inter-cutting between M’s enquiry speeches (quotes Tennysons Ulysses), Silva and his men approaching, Bond racing against time.
21. Enquiry – Mallory’s shot and runs for cover, Bond arrives, Silva escapes and Bond drives off with M.
22. Breadcrumbs – We first see the DB5, Mallory gives advice to Q and Tanner on how to lure Silva. Ends with a zoom into a map of Scotland.
23. Skyfall – The DB5 drives through the misty glen.
24. Kill Them First – Bond, M and Kincade lay dynamite.
25. Welcome To Scotland – The group of mercenaries arrive by foot HIGH NOON/OUTLAND-style, shoot out, M is injured.
Boom Boom – The Animals – Silva arrives by helicopter.
26. Shes Mine – Bond carries Bond Aston fires, Silva throws charges, Aston is destroyed, Bond enraged, lights fuse to fuel cannisters.
27. The Moors – Silva spots M and Kincade, Bond races to stop Silva and his men from reaching the chapel.
28. Deep Water – Bond treads carefully across ice, Silva sees lights in the chapel, fight with henchman in frozen loch, Silva reaches the chapel and meets M and Silva’s death.
29. Mother – M dies in Bond’s arms.
End Credits Medley.
Gunbarrel / The Name’s Bond… James Bond (abridged re-recording), then fades into…
30. Adrenaline, which fades into…
14. The Bloody Shot (abridged version), which fades into…
13. Komodo Dragon (abridged version)
Been listening to this loads. To my mind, it’s the best Bond score since The Living Daylights, no question. Quantum of Solace was decent, but this I can just listen to over and over. Really hope both Mendes and Newman return for the next movie.
anyway, the only thing im interested in is the song, anyone kindly upload that please?
