I enjoyed him greatly in THE AVENGERS’ episode EPIC where he’s a superannuated actor involved in a snuff film of Mrs Peel. His presence felt earlier in The Innocents. And last seen in one of the last Jeremy Brett/Sherlock Holmes episodes. Otherwise: nothin’.

He is in another black and white episode of The Avengers (On that one he whips Emma Peel) and also he was No 2 on The Prisoner.

I visited ‘The Village’ once… back in the 80s. But never found that vague TV show from my childhood intriguing. And you are right, he was also in A TOUCH OF BRIMSTONE from THE AVENGERS. The one ep that was not shown on American TV in its network run because of Mrs. Peel’s rather ‘naughty’ outfit toward the end… with the snake.

Yes, astounding episode. Maybe one of the best ever. I remember it’s was kind of Hellfire Club mood.

I just love that actor.

That particular episode was banned on the U.S.
But in Argentina was broadcasted without
problems or any fuzz at the time.

He was also in an episode of The Saint called "The Man Who Liked Lions" and was a Number 2 on The Prisoner. I think most guys remember him from "A Touch of Brimstone" from The Avengers because of Mrs. Peel merry widow outfit!

Oh whatjoy it is to be alive when you come across the Peter Wyngarde album in FLAC! I remember his presence in the Innocents scared the hell out of me as a kid and it still freaked me out a little when I saw it as an adult. I can’t remember him as a No.2 in the Prisoner which is inexplicable considering how many times I have watched the series – still it’s a good excuse to dig it out again!

Dear Diary: well, you’ll never believe what happened today!

So there I was, feeling all broken-hearted and suffering withdrawals, because I couldn’t listen to Peter Wyngarde, aka The Greatest Pop Spin-Off LP of ALL TIME!

Just then, during my lowest despair, came a chirping from my In-Box.

"What could it be?", I wondered.

It turned out that my (a) Fairy Godmother hearing my bitter cries* of despair, presented me with Peter Wyngarde’s Spin-Off Masterpiece: When Sex Leers It’s Inquisitive Head [2009]

It’s another Festivus Miracle! (except that this is the month of March)

However, just in case there’s no such thing as Festivus or actual Miracles involved, I also wish to thank the following people for their combined intercession of prayers, smoke signals, blood offerings, and an internet link (or two) :
