Again, Yuki Kajiura "Hollywood-ized" her style a bit for Fate/ZERO but her signature Kajiuran vocals are back in full force after being mostly absent for the first OST. There is also a larger amount of music that was set to a specific scene rather than being composed for the intent of using the track more than once. It is dramatic and dark and often surprisingly minimalist for Kajiura but compliments the action on-screen perfectly, showcasing her gifts as a composer and the director’s ability to use her music.

P.S. There is a nifty little surprise for J-pop fans at the end of the track "silver moon". Not gonna spoil it, but it shows up at about 1:07. There is also a rearrangement of a classic Fate/stay night track on the album.
