4 albums of Korngold’s non-film works, recorded by Northwest German Philharmonic during a period between 1986 and 1990. Conductor: Werner Andreas Albert. FLAC files ripped from my own CDs. Full booklet scanned, first half is in German and second half is in English (from page 27).

Having mysteriously obtained the links (thank you very much) I must say I’m realyl enjoying these. Those old CPO recordings won’t win any sound or performance quality awards, but it’s a real goldmine of very rare music. Splendid stuff!

Not to take the wind out of anyone’s sails, nice as it is to offer Korngold…. I had these discs many years ago and found the performances to be pretty poor. I highly recommend the Chandos recordings as well as others when it comes to a satisfactory Korngold collection that is played with pizazz.

This is the only set of the orchestral works of EWK, and one individial disc from ASV played by Bruckner Orchestra. I agree the Chandos ones with BBC orchestra would sounds marvelous. Hope they repackage them into cardboard box and I’ll get one.
