I’m always looking for more Senju but should i expect his typical stuff in this album? Seems like a odd subject for him to compose for.

It’s a good orchestral score to a/some documentary series, I think. Besides (some) NHK Taiga Dramas, NHK Specials ("NHK Special Giant Deep Sea Creatures" x Joe Hisaishi) (Thread 137684) or other Japanese documentary series usually mean there could be a good orchestral score. I think you’ll like it. Especially, since the track 4 "Air Rendevous" was used in Symphonic Suite V Gundam’s 6th Movement (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f91/kica-2053-thousand-nests-mobile-suit-v-89671/#post2400600) :’D

It’s funny how all over the world, documentaries consistently bring out the best in our treasured film composers… truly, there is nothing more fantastical than the natural world!

Senju’s great at pastoral music and I would rate this as one of his best work. In fact, I think this is a far better subject for his composition than something like valvrave.
