not bad, but I reckon the movie sucks .. anyway I’m a fan of the original Sweeney which might explain my opinion a bit !

I don’t remember the original Sweeney a lot, but the movie doesn’t really have any connection past the character names, that said, it’s overlong and predictable, but for a �5 million budget, surprisingly entertaining – I was reminded a lot of Michael Mann’s work, kinda like a british cross between Heat and Miami Vice, and was thinking that long before a VERY heat influenced action scene.

The original Sweeney is on ITV4 all the time … I think they could have done a lot better with the new movie, and with the cast .. but 5mil is 5 mil … not much these days .. just a lotto win!

There is although its kinda butchered … I asked for the music from the original series awhile back and johndoe99 upped it here Thread 118257 … good to compare to the new version
