THE CARPETBAGGERS OST – Elmer BERNSTEIN

A little bird has just told me that a famous company has been sitting on that release for more than FOUR YEARS… Nice to know… Let’s see the bright side of life : I hope that famous company will be able to fix some sound issues, etc. Meanwhile, and just in case it would take another four years, this is a sort of teaser ;).

By the way : nothing to do with the album release which was a rerecording. This is the soundtrack. Hope you’ll enjoy it :

Don’t think so : according to that Deep Throat of mine 😉 the famous company already owns the rights and the mastering process has been completed… but they’re not releasing it… 🙁

Recently sort of same thing happened to La-La-Land with Tiomkin’s OLD MAN AND THE SEA…but in that case La-La-Land had not asked permission in the first place to the right owners to do such a release.

This is one of my first ost I heard from Elmer Bernstein (in the film of course). Simply magnificent.

Though not the complete soundtrack nor derived from the original 35mm 3 track film scoring masters as the Intrada release,the stereo sound of this 1/4 inch 2 track release version is still superb. A must have IMHO.
