Great post! I think Superman III is a more original score but Superman II was a better movie… IMHO.

Thanks Man! With these two I have finally the four movie soundtracks! (Originally, I only wanted to have I and IV until I decided to look and find the rest of them).

These are two of the last items from my old record collection that I’ve never been able to find on CD. I owned (well, still own, I guess) the collector’s edition Superman II LP with the infamous "S" laser-etched on each side of the album. I’m a huge fan of the original score, and it’s true that these two can’t measure up to its epic glory . . . but I’ve still always had a place in my heart for them. (I especially love the piece that opens Superman III, a playful bit of chaos for the city scene. Great stuff.)

Thanks so much for helping me get my hands on digital versions of both of these. You’re the best!

Yes, it does, and it is the second best of the franchise, only after Superman: The Movie.

Superman IV – The Quest For Peace

Superman Returns
Superman III

(I haven’t heard the Man Of Steel score yet, but it sure it’ll better than Returns).
