Huge thanks for this and it also acts as a mirror to the other release that’s floating around. Awesome blog too, showing the unboxing! As a request, would it be possible for you to re-rip your Rockman soundtracks from last year using LAME 3.99.5? 3.99 removed the frequency cutoff point that previous LAME versions used, allowing tracks to truly reach 44.1khz (3.98 v0 had a cutoff at 40khz).

haha Anything you’d be willing to upload, honestly! I’d love to replace pretty much any Rockman (or just Capcom) related albums with 3.99 v0 rips. Hell, I’ve been on a complete manhunt just getting old albums and ripping games all over again just for the sake of releasing/having them in the best quality possible. It would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you! and a quick question, what ripping program did you use for this? Because I actually have the rockcan set myself, and tried to rip it with CDex at 320 kbps but the tracks come at a lower quality even after checking the settings tab. Any info and help is greatly appreciated thank you.

What are you talking about? The album is suppose to be called "Rockcan". Because, you know, it’s in an E-can. But it does seem pretty redundant seeing as how it’s directly followed by "Sound E Can".

What does "Sound E Can" even mean? I know that the "E" stands for "Energy", but even then, that title doesn’t make much sense.

Maybe it makes more sense in Japanese.

It seems as if there’s an issue now with Mediafire and multi-file archive downloading, they’ve seemed to put some kind of system for limiting them.

I’m seeing about other alternative uploading sites, if someone can recommend me some alternative sites. Please do. I’ll definitely put a depositfiles link up for now once the upload is finished in the main post.

What u have to do in order to fix that problem don’t make separate links for the rar parts just select all rar files and share them that should fix the error 😉

Zippyshare is good, 2shared and gamefront are fast but I don’t know how long links last on those sites.

Magnifico box set.

I still can’t believe they screwed up MM1 and MM2 so badly on this set. Just pisses me off.

I still really want to know whether these were from hardware or emulators. If the latter, I don’t think I want to keep them.

Does anyone have a good recording of MM1~6 sampled from hardware? 😉 The official 1~6 OST CDs still sound bad to me. I mean, other NES hardware rips I have don’t have such a loud buzzing going on. And as the E-Can has shown, the people in charge of these things for Capcom obviously are NOT the most competent or caring people for the job, so I don’t trust them. Or is that really how 1~6 sound on a real NES?

(You know what else pisses me off? That Castlevania Best Collections Box set. All the chiptune albums on that set are weak, butchered, ugly shadows of their former selves. Not accurate at all, with all those effects and alterations. It’s like listening to the actual sound filtered through a vast echo-y cavern with rushing water, or something. I don’t know, it just sounds turrible to me. Which is why I crave good, faithful, and mostly unaltered hardware recordings. If you have any, please let me know. ;))
