Ripped from source off the PS2 DVD, which was all in studio quality lossless 48khz files. Artist, track names and track order are based on the in-game playlist.
Nearly 4 hours worth of one of the best game soundtracks of the past decade, this is one of my proudest achievements as far as soundtrack rips go, as I’ve never seen a high quality rip of MC2 on the web (usually analog line-in rips or ripped from the PC version, which uses low bitrate mp3s) and because it required a lot of effort just cracking into the data and figuring out the technical details in how to go about getting playable audio (headers, interleave and what not). There’s damn near no support online in figuring out where to start. I hope you guys like it!
I’ll need to find a day where I don’t need to use my pc to upload it in flac. My upload rate’s pretty awful, so it would probably take upwards of 8-10 hours or something to upload this in flac (considering the mp3s are 460mb+ already…flac would be over a gig).
