All of this exists already, it’s not too hard to find all of these tracks up for download via a simple Google search.

It looks like it’s was a Vote-On-Our-Website, For-YOUR-favorite-Tracks-to-Appear-on-this-tribute-Compilation-Album. Disney did this type of thing with their Disney fans in Japan, asking them to vote for their favorite music and the songs with the most votes gets to appear in the album. But then again, it looks more like a Diet Kingdom Hearts Complete Music Collection and it’s excluding the tracks from the Piano Collection editions.

Unless it’s extended versions of these tracks, not really worth it. For a More Complete experience, just download the KH Complete set that covers KH,KH:FM, KH2, KH2:FM and Re:Com; the Birth-By-Sleep_358/2 Days & Re:coded soundtrack and the Dream Drop Distance soundtrack. For the two English openings, I think you can find that on Utada’s 10 English Album, Colors. The only rare tracks to look for would be the PLANT-B Remix of Simple and Clean (which was released on the English KH OST), and the English versions of the Atlantica Mini-Game from KH2 (A Gamerip on that one.)

Do you mean to say that they are Remastered? It wasn’t really that clear in your thread opener, as it read like it sounded a compilation mix-tape (track names associated with their respected album names), not as a remastering of some select KH tracks. You also forgot to mention that the tracks were remastered. Sorry for the criticism, but it’s going to be a bit more helpful in terms of finding out a bit more and making people more interested in the album in question. Outside of that, I’d like to request that as well. (Though, I’d wait and see if an online store like Play Asia would have it available.)

I think that was the long version. The short version, aka the one that plays in the KH1/CoM/BbS/Re:Coded openings, is the one NE9N was referring to. Simple and Clean Planit-B Remix (long version) hasn’t actually appeared in a Kingdom Hearts game, IIRC.

That said, I don’t think they’d shortchange the fans by just compiling the tracks together without anything extra, not with all the things they’re doing for the 10th Anniversary. Especially not when the music is a big part of the franchise.

And even supposing I am completely wrong on the remastering part, so what? People want to hear this, there’s multiple requests for it. That fact cannot be disproven for it is right in front of you.

The music division of SQEX is not an amateur. If they could advertise the product with being a remaster, then they would. But they’re not:

To all collectors, music lovers, and general fans of KINGDOM HEARTS, you’ll be pleased to know that the official site for the KINGDOM HEARTS 10th Anniversary Fan Selection Melodies&Memories soundtrack has opened! As you already know, this 2 disc soundtrack will be available on September 19th for 3,500� (roughly $44.72 USD), and thus, they have begun to reveal the tracks chosen to go into this set!

So far, only the ones for KINGDOM HEARTS and KINGDOM HEARTS CHAIN OF MEMORIES have been revealed, and you can view the list below. Composer Yoko Shimomura also has a short note about each track, which we’ll have up shortly. She’s remastered each of them specially for this occassion, and you can listen to previews of them on the site as well!

It’s obvious it comes from an official source. You know as much as me that fansites usually rely on actual info and not on speculations. I’m still looking for a press release or something though since it’s obvious this won’t satisfy you 😛

I know that text. I has been replicated over the net in the last weeks, after the official site opened. However the bit about the remastering is unsourced (!). Dozens of sites just republished the text without checking the validity of the information (like with the fake Apple anti-mod screws).

You know as much as me that fansites usually rely on actual info and not on speculations.

Didn’t find anything, Square Enix doesn’t seem to like Press Notes for CD announcements. Anyways, remastering the tracks is something quite usual in this kind of collections, after all it’s just trying to enhance the quality of the audio, not recording again the track, so it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest.

So I guess that unless anyone has this in his hands no one will be ale to shed a little bit of light on this. Still we’ll end up seeing it on the internet sooner or later, KH is KH 😛

Would be very much appreciated. But for now I don’t see any reason to get this album. I own the Box, BbS, DDD and the two piano arrange album and this album therefore yields nothing new for me.

I think that’s what the album is intended for: People who don’t own any of the previous KH album releases.

On the other hand: I found one ONE single site in which they had it up a 320kbps. Chinese site. Seems like you had to pay a fee. Not good idea, seeing I’d rather purchase the album 😛
