All Music Guide Review
Mark Isham’s heartfelt original score for the romantic drama At First Sight draws heavily on the composer’s jazz background, buoyed by his lithe piano solos and intimate, atmospheric arrangements. Isham’s poignant melodies are rooted in the kind of cocktail-lounge jazz sensibilities synonymous with romance and sophistication — swooning strings lend additional muscle to the music’s emotional pull, and as far as this kind of shamelessness goes, At First Sight is quite appealing. Milan’s official soundtrack release appends a handful of jazz perennials, including Louis Armstrong’s "A Kiss to Build a Dream On" and Ella Fitzgerald’s "They Can’t Take That Away from Me." ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi

It’s always a little bit shocking, isn’t it? I at least appreciate it when they age gracefully though – meaning avoiding the temptations to get plastic surgery. I imagine there will come a day when people look back at Hollywood’s obsession with this and see it in the same light as we now see the ancient Chinese ritual of binding women’s feet. Such craziness. I have so much respect for women who are confident enough to age naturally, who get that so much of what makes them attractive is in their character and personality, not in Hollywood’s preconceived notions of physicality.

I wouldn’t mind a re-up of this either, by the way. Forgot to mention that, haha. No worries if you can’t. Cheers.
