The actual Akumajou Densetsu Famicom cartridge has the VRC6 chip (not present in the localized cartridges) for extended synthesis features, but the tracks for Akumajou Densetsu (26-end) here sound like the NES version not the Famicom version. The sound on the Famicom is amazing: Akumajou Densetsu Soundtrack on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqyoTvZ5cOE) (without processing, the original may sound more like NES Longplay [022] Akumajou Densetsu on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3jsG0o9NJs) but still far better than NES version). I commented on grad1u53’s video, and suggested he upload his version to archive.org, since you can already find (https://archive.org/search.php?query=Akumajou%20Densetsu&and[]=mediatype%3A%22audio%22) this version (apparently a direct copy from the original post above).

VRC6 chip version in FLAC (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49_X1soIgOSa2kzd1loWlJmSXM/view)(one single file, content as in the YT link above me, so first half with reverb and second half without reverb. Not created by me – just linking it).

How did you get it in FLAC? If it was downloaded from YouTube, it would be already lossy. In that case, converting to MP4 losslessly would be the best option (reduced size, and no quality lost that wasn’t already lost by the upload to YouTube). Please explain.

Some dude linked in the YT comments, it’s on his or her google drive… Yeah, guess it’s from lossy origin, don’t know if he or she was lucky enough to grab the wav download from creator which’s been expired a long time ago.
Just thought: better than nothing.

Thanks for your reply–with that info I was able to find the comment below (with same Google Drive link), which states the FLAC link is from the WAV version!

Someone posted a WAV of the soundtrack, but the link is now dead. I grabbed it before it went down and made a FLAC of it. It sounds amazing! I put it on my G drive and will keep it there for a while so go ahead and grab it.
