It would be cool if the forum standard would be lossless, so that everybody could choose their favourite format afterwards (except for only mp3 available sources like rare unreleased promo scores etc.)

I agree wholeheartedly! I don’t bother with lossy formats unless there is absolutely no alternative.

Forget about it, the Shrine will never force a standard for formats; contributors are welcome to post whatever they have. Also, even in friggin’ 2019 there are those who are stuck with "crappy" (and limited) monthly bandwidth or, with regards to hard drive space, that are unable to upgrade to something with better storage.
Once again, whatever users have is welcome, even if lossy.
