Well, to be honest, I was expecting an announcement for a full blown new Mega Man X game picking up from Mega Man X8… but my hopes were dashed.

Maybe I’m wrong but when gaming companies pull shit like this it actually hurts me. I start wondering if all the defending and love that i gave the company was wrong. Its like finding out your friend has been lying to you for years. 🙁

At least we can play Mega Man Maverick Hunter X on the PS Vita. But this new game? Even if it was on the PS Vita, I’d pass on it.

*reads thread* …Really? I was hoping there would be a proper revivication of the Megaman series, but this? A very brief glance of the sprites almost makes them look like they were shoddily made!

So much for Megaman Legends 3… Capcom, hand over the licence for the Megaman series back to its founder so he can freaking make that game already. You’ve already got so much cash, for crying out loud, the licence for one series that you’ve canned isn’t going to be a major loss.

MegaMan X Command Mission released for the GCN and PS2 was a direct follow-up to X8. You should play it if you haven’t already. In any case a new SNES inspired MegaMan X game similar to MM9 and 10 would be pretty sweet, however I have no idea why Capcom is going this route.
