Little Miss Sunshine was the big indie hit of 2006. I believe the soundtrack also sold well, which is why I think this disc of ‘extras’ was hastily produced. I say hastily because of the cover of the characters sitting in the hallway near the end of the film is oddly Photoshopped onto the van, with its inexplicably yellowed windows–simply not as well-produced as the movie’s main marketing materials.

Anyway, I believe I stumbled on this disc at Wal-Mart in 2006. The yellow disc itself contains this awkward phrase: Bonus Disc From Soundtrack Album

The first 3 tracks are denoted as *alternate versions, but I think they’re all versions of songs from DeVotchKa’s 2004 album "How It Ends". Although the alt/live versions may have been recorded during or after film production. I saw DeVotchKa perform at least a couple of these songs later at the 2007 ACL Fest (over 100 degrees on an unshaded stage & they were amazing – Such A Lovely Thing Live at ACL 2007 on Spotify (http://open.spotify.com/track/5kLY75R9z46ttNFcaINsTU)).

Tracks 4 & 5 are the same as the original soundtrack versions. Still, it’s a nice little gem for fans of the movie & soundtrack like me.
