"5 – Back in 2003, a limited run of 550 copies of La R�volution fran�aise by Georges Delerue was manufactured. This double album has become a rare and expensive collector’s item. Will you reissue it?
The production company and soundtrack owner kindly gave us permission to remaster the original 1989 recording, first released by Polydor, because we insisted so much. It was first a labor of love. Delerue was not very popular at that time, we had just started our label and we didn’t think a double album could sell well. The music came out better than expected and some collectors remained frustrated because of the small pressing. Our feeling was that a more important label would eventually reissue this soundtrack in France with a more consistent booklet and international distribution, but it didn’t happen. For us, as we have no rights to reissue LA R�VOLUTION FRAN�AISE, we now explore other territories and anyway it’s always better to keep one’s word : a limited edition should remain really… a limited edition."
