Hatsune Miku Project Diva, Diva 2nd and Diva Extend. I just love the gameplay mechanics and the music it uses. They’re just such good songs. I picked up the original Diva along with a psp when I was an exchange student in Japan. Then on subsequent releases I had them imported. I used to play them on the train until like, last week. Perth city is like 40 minutes away on the Mandurah train line so I like to play my handheld to pass the time. Sometimes a kid will watch me play my 3DS and they ask questions and that’s fun.
But it’s when some weird dude in his 30s looks at me playing Hatsune Miku on the train where there has to be a fuss. If anyone’s played the game you’d know that it isn’t necessarily perverted or anything in any way. Unless you uh… put them in bikinis. WHICH I DIDN’T mind you. 😛 But god damn it’s killed the enjoyment of the game when a random dude says quite largely how gay it is and I am and how I’m a sick -yada yada australian insults. Maybe I chose the wrong games to play in public, I dunno.
I mean the point of my hand held was to play on the go, so god damn it lemme play. ;-; I think I’ll just stick to Harvest Moon or something from now on. >_> Anyone else had something like this? Most people I see in public are playing pokemon on their Nintendo systems so maybe it’s an unspoken rule to play only CERTAIN games in public. ahah
and ive actually been there. with DOA paradise.
Personally I really only play Dissidia Duodecium on my PSP whenever I take the train, which isn’t very often. And I’ve never had anyone ridicule my taste in gaming either, although I did have one guy comment on my PSP one time I was playing my PSP on a train, and he ended up talking about the different versions of the console with a friend who was with him. I mostly just smiled and nodded until they reached their station and got off the train. It was weird. :p
