Thank you!
Ear :fap: time for me
Now, if this baby is floating around, then GLADIATOR’s real deal must be out there, too. Dreams do become reality, thanks to some considerate users…
Umm….yeah I’m pretty positive.
Since you’ve answered my question… that was a KICK ASS job you’ve done!!!!! Thanks for sharing the M: I 2 Complete Score! It’s about freakin’ time!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to feel free to click on this mirror. If none of the users are downloading this mirror, this link will self-destruct in just one month. Good luck!

What’s wrong with the one its on now?
I assume the Sendspace hosting site is somewhat slow… but not as slow as RapidShare.
Goddamn. And here I didn’t think we’d be seeing something (or anything) like this after the expanded score from last year.
Probably my favorite Zimmer score.
Who’s awesome. You’re awesome, scorepranos. I just hope I’ll be able to download this sometime soon, as I’m only able to get online for short periods of time. sendspace works horribly for me. Took over an hour for Iron Man 2.
Yeah I’m with you on Iko Iko, it’s different but certainly not the film version. Non the less, this is a great complete score! Added with that other expanded score and you got yourself a rather extensive set of music from MI2.
Probably just depends on where you live. I downloaded a 500MB file from sendspace in less than 15 minutes from them.
Actually, it seems that you can only have a high-speed download if you have a premium account.
Here’s what it says at the bottom of each page:
"Note: your download is limited to a max of 80KB/s. Click here to test a premium download and see how it would be when you use a Pro account – very important: give the download at least a minute to reach top speed."
Right ! So, this is my edit of the opening theme (https://rapidshare.com/files/4072040328/M-I-2%20Theme%20(Film%20Edit).flac) (FLAC but lossy source)

How do you know?
What GrayEdwards is saying that some of the titles in each track are cut off. Case in point– "Nekhorvich’s…", "Nahya’s True–", "Nahya Acce–", "Ambrose Welco–", "McCloy Get…", "McCloy in…".
Not just that, but since "Nahya" is spelled wrong, I’m pretty sure that these were put in by whoever first acquired the score. Just look at the expanded score I posted for a hint at what the true titles most likely are.
Just because they mis-spelt it does not mean its not official cue titles.
And I’m 100% positive these are official titles, even though some of them do cut off.

Okay, I’ll take your word for it since I haven’t actually seen anything that contradicts what you said.
Doesn’t change the fact that the names aren’t very good, though. 😉

I’ve gotten scores from composers before where they mis-spelt a name. And even official releases has mis-spelt names wrong.
Just because they mis-spelt it does not mean its not official cue titles.
And I’m 100% positive these are official titles, even though some of them do cut off.
Of course, but sometimes we have alternate cues (with or without Choir, etc..) so this is not the definitive complete score, but at the moment certainly the best! so again : congratulations for this ! sooooo cool 😀 😀
Maybe it’s just what I’ve grown accustomed to…

Go to page 2, post #32. I’ve re-uploaded the mirror and it’s ready.

Thank T-Mann. I just pointed people to his post.
It would be even better if 6m32 had the MI2 theme ending as in the film mix 🙂
Can a film mix be made utilizing the Blu-ray?
Really? Anything else that differs besides Iko Iko and Main Titles in the film? Any cues actually missing? I’m asking because I’m planning something for the score.

With the new source I have that is not on Shrine yet, I can probably pull from another cue, since I’m not certain if they recorded a new bit just to add on to 6m32.

Add 7m36 Ambrose Dies to that list, according to my new source.
Also, apparently, Injection was written by Clint Mansell, initially intended for Requiem For A Dream. This supposedly came out of Lorne Balfe’s mouth, from a discussion with a user on H-Z.com, who didn’t clarify how he had a conversation with him. As the result, feel free to take it with a grain of salt. It would be interesting if it was true though.
I need more information about it: these cues are the same except the last four because they are alternates, aren’t they?
So the complete ost must include all of the cues from scorepranos and these four, is that correct?
Thank you!

All those cues from SoundCloud are ones composed by Klaus Badelt. The ones that with the slates only are indeed the ones that show up on the Complete Set scorepranos posted here. The rest are alternates, the last being a CD mix.

Also, I should be making a thread eventually regarding this score.
Looking forward to what you’re putting together. This was one of the first scores I ever bought (and it holds a special place in my heart) 🙂
6m32 is Shooting and Escape is 6m33-34, titled ‘Action Cues’ on Klaus Badelt’s soundcloud. It also includes the motorcycle chase, etc, hence the separate naming of the cues in the tracklist on the other page of this thread. The first cue of 6m33-34 is the aftermath of the door being blown off its hinges and Ethan Hunt walking past in motherfucking-badass-spy-mode with the doves flying through the door. 6m32 is the lead up to that. It’s my favorite cue, also because of the scene it accompanies 🙂
Here’s what I have, the 6m33-34 Film Mix is custom:
Please, someone, make a truly definitive version (that doesn’t cross-fade cues and includes any necessary film mixes)! :p

Yep, that’s the part right there! I get chills every time I hear that bit and think of the scene!
Thanks for the upload so far, great work! Am I right in understanding that you’re going to be doing the entire score? That would be awesome 🙂
I have the PAL Region 2 DVD, let me know if that audio track might be of any use of to you. I don’t have the M:I films on Blu-Ray unfortunately :-/
Also, uhm, LOSSLESS SESSIONS? All I have is the complete score (320K) from scorepranos plus what I’ve worked with from other releases.
Damn. Just read through the entire thread. I’m so confused right now.
You deserve a medal for that. If we got a nickel every time someone did we’d still be poor. :p

Didn’t know you were an M:I-2 score fan 🙂 In some ways it’s the dumbest score HZ has done to date (debatable) with nothing but riffs, drums, etc, but there’s something there that makes me go back to it over and over again. Lisa Gerrard and the choir he uses profusely probably have something to do with it. Also I’ve never been a fan of Pereira’s involvement (the acoustic guitar, flamenco clapping, etc). When I listen to my version of the score, I usually skip to the parts after Spain and recruiting Nyah (even though I inexplicably always include those cues on my iPhone). 😀 On the other hand I do enjoy the mellow guitar motif he sprinkled here and there, using Lisa Gerrard’s voice, those I do like. Injection and the part where Nyah’s about to throw herself of a cliff (not related, lol) are great examples. The Eastern gong thing during the Ambrose/Hunt fight is always fun to hear as well. Although MY GOD that fight is ridiculous.
Does anyone remember seeing Ambrose smirk when Hunt kicks him in the face? Seriously, watch the film again, and check the beach fight scene. That entire fight scene is ridiculous. John Woo is a master of action cinema, which really makes me think Tom Cruise had more than a ‘helping’ hand in that climactic fight. The knife-to-the-eye thing, kicking the gun up through the sand with his toes (as if that would work), turning around and shooting Ambrose. All nonsensical. He’d probably be shot in the back the moment he tried that in real life. Also Anthony Hopkins is just there to cash a check. Might as well have stayed home. He’s completely unnecessary to further the plot. He forbids Hunt to act on his own accord, Hunt does it any way, film continues. If it were simply an off-screen cameo as the boss’ voice over during the opening scene it would’ve been a lot cooler. ‘Oh, check it out, it’s Sir Anthony.’ Boom. Done. But noooooo, let’s bring him back for a stupid quip regarding the title of the franchise. How meta. People will love it. No, not really. No.
**end of rant**

Go back to that discussion. The same user who made that statement was then berated and mocked for making that claim. If anything, Clint Mansell probably wrote the original cue for RFAD, after which Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard made it their own. I’ve amended it in my own library to say the artist listed is "Hans Zimmer, Clint Mansell & Lisa Gerrard." If true, credit where credit’s due 🙂
Thanks for the upload so far, great work! Am I right in understanding that you’re going to be doing the entire score? That would be awesome 🙂
Actually, I think the film version actually cut to Escape a second or so earlier, but it’s about the same.
The entire score will be attempted. It won’t be easy, and might not be 100%, but it will be worth a try.
I have the PAL Region 2 DVD, let me know if that audio track might be of any use of to you. I don’t have the M:I films on Blu-Ray unfortunately :-/
I already have what I need. Plus, no American / Britain Blu-ray will help me.
Also, uhm, LOSSLESS SESSIONS? All I have is the complete score (320K) from scorepranos plus what I’ve worked with from other releases.
It’s the exact same set, but in lossless. I refer to it as sessions because it’s a pretty rough set (no mastering, silences a plenty, a man stating the slates on 5m27, etc.).
Didn’t know you were an M:I-2 score fan 🙂
He’s new to the series. He did a marathon of all of them recently. This was one of those scores that really caught his attention.
In some ways it’s the dumbest score HZ has done to date (debatable) with nothing but riffs, drums, etc, but there’s something there that makes me go back to it over and over again. Lisa Gerrard and the choir he uses profusely probably have something to do with it. Also I’ve never been a fan of Pereira’s involvement (the acoustic guitar, flamenco clapping, etc). Injection and the part where Nyah’s about to throw herself of a cliff (not related, lol) are great examples. The Eastern gong thing during the Ambrose/Hunt fight is always fun to hear as well.
It probably is his dumbest score, but also his most unique. Zimmer doesn’t strike me as a person that would use the acoustic guitar, but it absolutely works for this score. Like the film, I think it was trying to be smart in a sense, but it’s clear the time period, as well as just bad choices overall, prevented that from being the case. Still, I just love it as a whole.
I actually appreciate Pereira presence in the score. 1m5 and 2m10 are probably among my favorite cues of the film. Him, Lisa Gerrard and Klaus Badelt made the score really.
He’d probably be shot in the back the moment he tried that in real life.
Scenes like those are what make the film. No one must forget that one jump they did (https://youtu.be/K2oKEqtQFyc?t=6m12s). Absolutely insane, but brilliant at the same time.
Done. That’s such a silly thing to care about. That dialogue no worse than Ambrose’s weird slants against women. If anything, it’s so cheesy it’s amazing. I love it.
Honestly, considering Zimmer always has other people with him, it really wouldn’t surprise me if somebody else made the cue. I honestly would need to listen to the score for RFAD to see if it would’ve matched. Still, if he was involved, I would put it as "Clint Mansell, Hans Zimmer, & Lisa Gerreard." Give the original composer the first credit.
I’ll openly share it once I’m done with the Film Mix.
I’ll give you that. Favorite line though is definitely "You know, that was the hardest part about having to portray you, grinning like an idiot every fifteen minutes." 😀 😀

You can expect a PM in return in about half an hour.
A fun thing about that line: if you go back to the beginning, when Ambrose is "Dimitri," Tom Cruise pretty much is smiling for the whole scene.
"You keep calling me Dimitri. You really shouldn’t."
I kind of forgot this was the first film mix I’m fully attempting, since the results haven’t been perfect. "Seville" has about 10% SFX, which is better than anything really. I still can’t work out cutting certain tracks together properly, as well as how I might do certain cues. Still, I won’t give up on it.
I’ll continue supporting your work, HunterTech… and you can take THAT to the bank.
Sounds like a huge undertaking. Super excited to see the final product.

I’m not here to belittle. I’m only here tell you that there won’t be a re-up unless otherwise. That’s all I have to tell you.
Ok, that’s fine. If there’s a specific reason they can’t be re-upped I completely understand.
An unnecessary interjection, then.
Well, this makes it harder for people to pay attention to our request.
Is that so hard to understand?
If there’s a specific reason they can’t be re-upped I completely understand.
There’s no reason why it couldn’t be re-upped.
The first is Zimmer’s entire 8 minute bike chase suite. Pass this onto Rigby in case they still want it.

This one is the actual version of Giacchino’s MI3 title theme as used in the film. Bizarrely it was replaced on the official release.
https://1drv.ms/u/s!ArWZYp3YDhNpgQAgFXYcWAvWukNa
And this one is Joe Kraemer’s Rogue Nation title theme. It’s already offically available but idiotically they buried it away in the middle of longer opening and closing cues so here it is on its own.

Could you please send me a link of this 42-track version of this score?
Thanks in advance.
