This CD, released by Citadel in 1998 , contains the original television soundtrack of the TV series MAYA composed by Hans Salter and conducted by Kurt Graunke in 1966, plus HORROR RHAPSODY that incorporates a suite with famous cues by Salter for the Universal Studios horror films classics such as SON OF FRANKENSTEIN, THE MUMMY�S HAND, BLACK FRIDAY and MAN MADE MONSTER conducted by Hans Salter in 1941.

Thanks for this. Salter is, in my opinion, a much under-rated composer with some tremendous movie scores on his hand. His score for Maya is very Rozsa-like, and for a TV show he is going on full thrusters here. Great stuff!

I was just checking to make sure this was uploaded (I have a cdr copy). I only got it for the horror scores, but was very pleasantly surprised by the MAYA score. I dont know if it’s a re-recording (which I generally avoid) but the content still has a nice vintage-style to it, with enough hooks to keep you reeled in. Got alot of listening mileage from it, as well as the rest of the cd.
