This one is a request from my General Music Requests Thread; Final Fantasy 9 in SNES soundfont.

As per usual, all I did was run MIDIs through a soundfont and converted them to MP3.

No gratitude necessary, just take it and scram. Or just scram.

i notice "search for the princess"/track 8 starts with a minute of silence.. any idea what gives?
…actually, it is part of the loop – apparently no instruments were selected for these midi parts ??

..and a high instrument is missing from the battle music that should come in at :9 – :11 before the trumpets.
I’m not sure what it is in the original, but I noticed it was missing as there is just some bass left.

I think that there are some instrument parts that the Genesis soundfont doesn’t read, but those are few and far between. I noticed a similar problem when I did Final Fantasy 7 and played the Turks theme. A whole bunch of silence and then a couple of sounds.
