Here’re my compilations of the complete soundtracks of the NES Classic Megaman games. The audio for the NES releases comes as taken from the Capcom Music Generation Family Computer collection, and each disc also includes the complete score of each Game Boy release, starting with Dr. Wily’s Revenge. As always, you’ll also find remixes picked by yours truly on account of quality and quantity; I intend to go all the way till Megaman 7, but that’s subject to change. New releases will be posted on this very thread, so check back frequently.

Disc 1: Rockman/Megaman (NES, 1987); Rockman World/Megaman: Dr. Wily’s Revenge (GB, 1991). Also includes the Mega Drive score version of the first game, found in Rockman Mega World/Megaman:The Wily Wars (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, 1994).

Disc 2: Rockman 2: The Mystery of Dr. Wily/Megaman 2 (NES, 1988); Rockman World 2/Megaman II (GB, 1991).

Disc 3: Rockman 3: The End of Dr. Wily!?/Megaman 3 (NES, 1990); Rockman World 3/ Megaman III (GB, 1992).

Disc 4: Rockman 4: A New Ambition!?/Megaman 4 (NES, 1991); Rockman World 4/Megaman IV (GB, 1993).

Disc 5: Rockman 5: Blues’ Trap!?/Megaman 5 (NES, 1992); Rockman World 5/Megaman V (GB, 1994).

Disc 6: Rockman 6: The Greatest Battle Ever!/Megaman 6 (NES, 1993); Rockman 6: Complete Works (PSX, 1999).

Disc 7: Rockman 7: Showdown of Destiny (SNES, 1995); Rockman Mega World/Megaman: The Wily Wars (All original music composed for the game).

Chronos X, would you consider giving a listen to the NES stereo rips from the PlaytheNES thread? I got both the rips and the Capcom Music Generation Family Computer Rockman 1 ~ 6 and believe me when I say that the PlaytheNES versions sound superior. It’s just a suggestion based on personal preferences, but it would worth a try. Thanks for such a great thread.

Guys, I just finished reuploading Discs 1-4: following AFMG’s advice, I’m now using stereo quality rips from Play the NES and I’ve also used other rips for the Rockman World and Mega World games, picked up from Reg’s old Megaman thread. I’ve also added more bonus remixes, but I’ve had to edit the audio to cut superfluous running times and make the necessary space: some tracks loop once and fadeout, or twice, or as many times as I deemed fit.

Please let me know what you think of the edits and sound quality: I was told the stereo versions are of higher quality than the official Capcom release, but I’ll need a second opinion to know for sure. I’ll handle the remaining discs in a similar manner, but I’ll need more time: plus, Puerto Rico is currently under storm watch because of Hurricane Isaac, so it’s extremely likely me and most of the country will be without power and computer access for a day or two at best and a few weeks at the very worst, knowing how efficient our power company is.

Please be patient: I’ll get to it when I’m able to. For now, these should be enough to carry you over; enjoy and comment freely.

Just got done reuploading Discs 1-7: each features more remixes and the like, and the last one also includes all original music to the Wily Tower segment of Wily Wars. Enjoy and comment freely.

The stereo after-release mix versions you’ve used in these discs sounds much better than the official Capcom releases, which were in mono, duplicated into stereo. Those original files, whilst more authentic, have a very ‘flat’ sound compared to these recordings.
