Never Been Kissed was a 1999 romantic comedy with Drew Barrymore as a newspaper editor who goes undercover to report on the local high-school scene and falls for one of the teachers. Being a teen-oriented film, Capitol Records released a soundtrack of 16 pop vocals used in the film, but did not include any of the instrumental score by David Newman.
Newman’s score emphasizes romance over comedy, with tender ballads punctuated by a few upbeat numbers. This is one of David’s scores that is reminiscent of music by brother Thomas.
23 untitled tracks (some short!) totaling about 20 minutes.
Very good stereo sound (though a little hollow sounding). No dialog or sfx.
Tau and EAC indicated all tracks on this disc to be lossless.
Disc was ripped to FLAC using XLD.

I always do a Google search (i.e. "Never Been Kissed, ffshrine") before I post anything, and I didn’t see that this score had been posted before. Searching within ffshrine hasn’t really worked well for me. Or so I thought, as I just did an advanced search and I easily saw that FunnyML posted this score in November of 2010. That’s a while back, and was not lossless, but nonetheless I probably should have waited a little longer to post this copy. So, apologies to FunnyML! I DO have some new stuff coming up to post—assuming no one beats me to it, like they did with "Snow Dogs."
