General Music Requests Thread

A thread for music requests, from you to me.

While I still fully intend to upload things of my choosing to this forum, I thought it’d be nice to have a thread where everyone else tells me what they think I should upload.

It’s like the title says, a General Music Requests Thread.

Any completed requests I do will be posted in their own respective threads.

I typed about this in my ‘About Me’ on my Profile and in my Majora’s Mask thread, but I’ll type some about it here just in case. I work on music by applying soundfonts to MIDIs, nothing more, nothing less. If you have questions on what either of those are, ask me somewhere else; I’d like this thread to be strictly music request related.

I have 4 favorite soundfonts that I like to work with:

-NES (general sounds from the some of the system’s games)
-SNES (general sounds from the some of the system’s games)
-Genesis (general sounds from the some of the system’s games)
-AnotherXG (quality-wise, sounds better than any console before Gamecube, Xbox, Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 and any handheld before the PlayStation Portable and 3DS, generally)

There are two ways you can go about asking me for stuff you want done (two that I think make the most sense, at least):

1- Just ask me to make an album in one of the 4 soundfonts listed up there, I’ll search the net for related MIDIs and do what I can.

2- Same as 1, only with a link(s) to related MIDIs that you found in your post. It’s easier for me, but 1 is still an option.

Also, I’m not an infinite-time-uploading-god, so I won’t get everyone’s done at once. However, if I get the right MIDIs and I say I’m gonna, I’m gonna. Maybe not right away, but when I can. I upload on my free time (which I’ve had quite a bit of lately, hint hint), and usually during the really early morning. All my stuff is MP3: 48000HZ, 320kbps, VBR 0, "CD quality" and in stereo. As far as I can tell, that’s high quality MP3.

That’s basically it. I upload to MediaFire and 4shared, depending on what kind of Internet connection I have when I upload (wired = MediaFire, wireless = 4shared).

If I complete your request, I’ll most likely notify you after I’ve posted it.

I don’t think my terms are entirely unfair, if you have a problem with it, either message me on my Profile page or bugger off. I don’t care about your ‘thanks’ or anything, it’s not a requirement. I upload for the sake of uploading and for the freedom of all sentient beings.

NOTE: I only do MIDI-to-MP3 stuff, I do not upload official soundtracks.

I really like it if you do a conversion of the Final Fantasy IX OST on SNES soundfont, if that is possible. Cheers. And awesome work btw. I already downloaded some of your FF series on Genesis.

well, hopefully I don’t start a landslide of requests, but I think I’ll kick things off with; how bout a Genesis version of Skies of Arcadia?

Well, the Tribes: Ascend soundtrack just came out today, that’d be pretty awesome!

I dunno if that Tribes one’ll work (MIDIs are made by people individually, so it’s unlikely there are many, if at all, if the thing just came out), sorry. However, I know I can do Final Fantasy 9 and Skies. Thank everyone so far for posting here!

EDIT: I tried Google for the Tribes stuff, but I can’t find anything. I’m sorry, but if there’s anything else you want, I’ll try to help. Unless you meant the actual soundtrack, I don’t post that sort of stuff, just MIDI-to-some-other-soundfont stuff.

Not if you’re looking for the actual soundtrack, sorry. I only do remix albums with MIDIs and soundfonts. Think I should add that bit of info to the initial post…

I’ll get to it when I can. I know I don’t upload as much as I used to, but I haven’t abandoned the requests here. Apart from langey’s last request, I’ve finished and compressed all of the previous ones, but uploading takes so much time that I can only really do 1 or 2 .zip part files a day.

Could you Genesisfy the Darkwing Duck NES music? I found a site (http://www.hotgamecheater.com/games-midi-music/nintendo-games-music/NES-midi/index-nes-D.htm) that has seems to have the midi files.

I have a question… I have the MIDIs from Samurai Shodown RPG, which are extracted directly from the PS1 ISO.Only problem is, they don’t have patches assigned (so it’s all patches 0-9 or so). I’ve fixed a few of them, and I can also provide a copy of the OST, to give an idea of what they sound like "properly." Would this be something you’d be interested in tinkering with? If so, I’d be very curious to hear them in NES and AnotherXG format. If not, I understand.

Could you do Naruto ultimate ninja 2? Impossible to find besides on youtube. Thanks 🙂

…i don’t want to be rude but i would just say that people should calm down with the bunch of requests by person.

an album mean ONE album, not 2 neither 3, neither 15, it’s meaning one.

people, & InfernalAvalanche here, are not robots, so take this in consideration.

To the muggin’ Moriya, if ya wanna lend me some MIDIs so I can slap some soundfonts on ’em, that ain’t never a problem. It’s why I got this thread here. Just PM me the goods if you want and I’ll do my usual thing.

As for amld1 and head fulla leather: if you’re requesting official OSTs, read the bottom sentence of the initial post in this thread.

And to amld1: if you ARE in fact requesting those OSTs, I’ve found all of those on this forum before. Just do some digging, they’ll turn up.

Additionally, I haven’t gotten a chance to do anything lately due to recently downloading Ragnarok. I mean, I can’t just STOP PLAYING. That would be ridiculous. Stop being ridiculous. Go home.

Err… Langrisser 2 MD (I think this means Megadrive?) ingame music? I want it soooo bad. It’s so hard to find and all the links to depositfiles and multiupload are not working for me….The released disc of arranged tracks sounds soooo bad. Langrisser 2 has this sound that only sounds good in the console (haven’t listened other Langrisser games yet), not played in a real band, just like Contra: Hard Corps. You JUST can’t emulate the goodnes of those sounds in real life!
