Great album. "The Moon is the White Gate’s Light" is beautiful 🙂

David Leytze really was a hidden weapon within B-Univ, even though most people just think of this as being Takenobu Mitsuyoshi and Koichi Namiki’s project. According to his Soundcloud page, the last minute or so of Stand Tall was actually recorded live, with his vocals and Namiki’s guitar part ad-libbed in the studio.

His incredible lyrics, drums and singing on My Shadow especially made him one of my favourite Sega in-house musicians (not to mention he was also responsible for the Fighting Vipers soundtrack)… I can only hope one day he reunites with the rest of B-Univ for one last album, as from what I’ve seen they all still keep in touch via Facebook and Twitter!

By the way, thanks for uploading the follow-up Dancing Shadows release, too. As I said before, you really need to get the final part of this trilogy. Sadly, unlike the first two efforts, On The Vocal is very much a Mitsuyoshi solo title, plus it suffers for not including Solitude, his epic closing theme of the Virtua Fighter animated series.
