So, I found a Russian dubbed digital cinema packaged version of Trailer 3, with 5.1 surround sound, and extracted the audio and mixed it to get this…
(Semi) Official clean version of the Trailer 3 music. The separate channels from the trailer had quite a bit of echo from the dubbing (especially Bane) in the beginning so I used heavenbaby06’s recreation of the beginning piano sequence synced to the rear channel mix from the trailer. Also attempted to equalize the volume on the second half of the trailer (music drops when characters speak) and there’s a tiiinnnyyy bit of echo off Alfred’s dubbing. Apart from that, it rocks. This is as good as we’re gonna get until a US 5.1 version drops.
You think you can mix this better? The original 5.1 AC3 audio from the trailer is here: DARK-KNIGHT-RISES_TLR-F4_2D_S_RU-XX_RU_51_4K_WR_20120501_DUK_OV_audio_01.ac3 (http://www.mediafire.com/?hk10h2txi7sib73)
Enjoy! And big thanks to heavenbaby06!
As always, you’re awesome!

Well, what about this? Thread 113672
Well, maybe if you read the descriptions in both threads, that would help.
Well, maybe if you didn’t have to sound rude about it, that would help. I’m sorry; what exactly is the problem here?
I guess I don’t understand your question. What about this ? Yes ? What about it ? These are two different things.
Did you see how I quoted antovolk’s original message?

I was responding directly to those statements. I linked to FFDream10’s mix in a response to those, attempting to imply that FFDream10 has already done something better than this. Both aurally and visually (through viewing the audio in Audacity), I want to say that FFDream10’s work is better. They are not two different things; they are both the same piece of music.
It’s simply that one was sourced from the actual trailer music in 5.1 surround sound and has minimal SFX and slightly irregular wave forms. And the other was sourced from someone who has God’s ears, and has the ability to recreate music from the ground up, matching perfectly pitch, tempo, instrument choice, and even something like reverb. In the most fundamental form, they are the same music.
And that’s not to say that you, antovolk, still did a really great job. I was just offering an alternative which I felt might be…I don’t want to say better, but you know that’s the word that would go here. I’m trying not to sound so judgmental.

No worries, FFDream10 (heavenbaby06 on YouTube) did a FANTASTIC job recreating the original track. In terms of which is better…I think we should wait for the final score to decide that. In all honesty, some may prefer to get a listen of the actual music from the trailer, some may prefer a fan-made recreation. Either way, Zimmer did a fantastic job on the trailer, and we should all thank him for that.
Your mix, on the other hand–since it originated from the actual trailer, it has more solidarity, I suppose, considering it was likely produced by a real orchestra, but it does also come with a second or two of voices echoes (I heard no other SFX though).
I’ve gotten the chance to hear FFDream10’s other work as well–The Dark Knight Rises Prologue. Between those two tracks, I think he is an invaluable member of this forum, and I strongly believe that his talents could go a long way here to help out the people who want music they can’t have without the distraction of SFX–music from the likes of James Horner’s Titanic, Hans Zimmer’s Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, and any number of other Hans Zimmer works (since the composer is so stingy on the material that gets placed on his OSTs).
But I know that FFDream10’s work is very time-consuming, and with only one of him and hundreds of us, it could be impossible for any of us to get what we wanted. And FFDream10 himself may not ever even see this post. In the end, hats off to both you and him for the hard work and sorry if I got a bit long-winded!
I’ve heard his Prologue recreation as well, and I loved it! I’m glad his work has received such a positive reaction everywhere, he really does have "God’s ears"! FFDream10, if you are reading this, thank you! 😀
Official release for OST is July 17th. Hopefully the music to the third trailer as well as the entire score from the movie will be on the OST. But I might hold out and not buy the OST just yet in case an expanded version comes out later like TDK. Then again, Begins sadly didn’t get an expanded release so the end credits and the music that is heard when Bruce goes down the shaft and opens the closet is not officially out.
Great coverart Stoi!!!
