DROWNING MONA (unreleased score by Michael Tavera) (Lossless/FLAC)

A black comedy from 2000 with Danny DeVito as a sheriff investigating the death of Bette Midler (Mona), whose widespread unpopularity makes everyone in town a suspect.

16 pop vocals from the film were released on Hip-O-Records. This promo (from the Zomba Agency) is the unreleased instrumental score + 1 vocal not on the OST. Tavera provided a quirky and inventive score combining a little dixieland, Swingle Singers, banjo, mambo, and more. Being a black comedy, what there isn’t is anything resembling a pretty tune or love theme. The final track "Swim With the Fishes" is a vocal, with singers unknown.
