Many thanks for these clear and tuneful MP3-320 songs Betohome. I had a crackly and muffled LP version before. Sweethaven is my favourite.

The famous Popeye theme song is similar to two lines of the tune "Oh, Better Far to Live and Die", sung by the Pirate King and chorus in Act I of Gilbert and Sullivan’s operetta The Pirates of Penzance: "For I am a Pirate King! (You are! Hoorah for the Pirate King!)

i love the demos Harry did, mostly because unlike some of the cast performances he didn’t sing off key ("Everything Is Food" is a good example). a real shame Harry never got the chance to release his own version of the soundtrack’s songs. 🙁
