I always do a V0 rip if I have a lossless source, but these tracks are taken directly from GOG PC release of W2, and they are already lossy encoded (by GOG), doing lossy to lossy conversion would degrade the quality further, so no in this case.
I would just like to add that although these were included in the EE OST, many of them were in the original version of the game (and thus would be found in my rip).
And I actually uploaded my rip 11 months ago, some 7 days even before you did xD
