Err… That message is quite old. Already dealt with the problem, somewhat, there are still private shares of FSM/Varese happening in the community…. But you can’t really monitor private messages, luckily, I might add.

Galbadia Hotel no longer has copyright infringing music? Sorry, but that’s just plain old bullshit, it may be more correct to say that publishers/labels don’t really care that much about the music hosted there, otherwise something would have already been done about it.

That said, as LSK stated, financially-oriented companies don’t particularly care about twenty-five year-old videogame music / unreleased scores and so don’t particularly care about GH.

If I had to guess, I think Fira is the author of said post on FSM. anyway, as you say, FSM is closing down shop, soooo…they won’t have the excuse of us harming their business much longer, as there will be NO business anymore. not to say FSM stuff should be allowed. it’s not and that’s fine by me. Kendall had a shitty way of doing business, and I still remember his diatribe on the slipstream debacle.

Anyway, people who want to buy rare scores still have good ol’ Lalaland and Intrada, and also Various Assortments of REtards Stupefiously Egotistical.

With respect, a fine label that has devotedly released score after score, over more than a decade, is closing. That’s no cause for joy. I am most categorically not a fan of Kendall, nor the way he ran his business and particularly the way he ran his forum – but FSM as a label, from the consumer’s perspective, has never, not once, put a foot wrong.

Kendall’s reasons for closing down FSM are his own – and are not related to FFShrine or piracy in general. The RJ box was a niche product, in a niche market, within another niche market. Of course it was going to sell badly. It was a bad business call. Kendall invested his company funds in a pet project and it blew up in his face. Regrettable, but I do hope that he now has the maturity to accept that it was his own fault – not FFShrine’s – that he was unable to shift as many copies of a two hundred dollar 14-disc box set of highly variable music as he would have liked. That’s business.

I’m sad that FSM is closing; and frankly, anybody who is in any way interested in film music should be, too.

I don’t like Red Wine, nobody eats frogs here except american tourists in Paris, and I wouldn’t eat snails even if my life depended on it. Being also of Tunisian heritage, I’ll add that I don’t like most north african/middle eastern food (except couscous, but that’s a basic) and that sand and heat aren’t my friends.

I actually, unlike most of my fellow countrymen, enjoy eating in the UK. breakfast made of eggs, bacons and beans on a toast, or meat served with mint sauce are favorites of mine. to the eternal horror of said countrymen.

Yet, even if we, froggies eat snails…we didn’t spawned the spice girls, nor Margaret Thatcher, Marmite (Do you brits seriously eat that thing ?), and tabloids. 😉

No, no files are hosted here. Admin complies with all properly filed labels concerns. Admin deletes non allowed files as they can, usually fairly quickly. What happens via pm is private. There is absolutely NO reason for this topic to be raised again. Member’s concerns are nice, but admin knows what they are doing, and deal with it. I am sure they are more aware than this lone member. Sooo. Yea.
