Just a huge cat lover. I’m a cat magnet, actually. They seem to like me. My previous cat, who died last year, was originally living in a house up the street, but as soon as he met me he wanted to move in with me. His owners were very understanding and let me have him (although they didn’t really have much choice, the cat had already made his decision). Sadly he passed away last year after a long happy life. His cat friends kept turning up, probably wondering where he’d gone, and because I was missing him I started feeding his pals. Big mistake! As soon as cats know you’ll give them a free meal, they keep turning up, virtually queueing at the door. And word spreads – cats I’d never even seen before starting coming round for freebies. I joked to a friend that I was spending all my time feeding the bloody cats – hence the nickname. I now have another moggy – again, one that used to live up the street. He met me, decided he’d prefer to live here, and basically packed his bags and moved in. Cat magnet, see?
