WinRAR doesn’t recognize "rar.###" files as split-RAR files.
They should be either .r01, .r02 etc, or part1.rar, or part2.rar, but not rar.001, rar.002.

Does renaming them to *.r01 etc, help?

You have to use 7zip to extract.

Scumbag Mediafire deleted another file without a notification, and I don’t even have the FLAC
on my computer, gonna have to convert and rename again.

OK, this is just ****ing stupid. There’s Part 4 of the FLACs missing, and only Part 1 of the MP3s even works. The other ones are "corrupt or damaged".

But I haven’t tried 7Zip yet.

Is it just me, or do I get all these weird sounds when I play the music?

Not a problem related to the poster above me, but I get "unexpected end of archive" when I open up any of the RARs and it only extracts 23 of the tracks.

For anyone having problems extracting the files, you first have to join/concat the files ending with .001, .002, etc… using Split & Concat (Mac) or HJSplit (PC). You will end up with a single .rar file that you can extract with your regular program.

All the issues above seem to stem from this missing step.

Sorry, I don’t have part 4 either, I saw your answer after I had posted and was waiting for a re-up.
I just gave tips on how to join the .00X files and said thanks to you for making a Flac version of this score available. However, I’m afraid you will have to upload a totally new version, as it seems unlikely you will end up with a similar file from a second conversion. Maybe one of the early posters in the thread got it though.

I had to split it because mediafire has file size limits for uploads.

Holy smokes thank you. I love Melee’s soundtrack and I can tell this is going to be a great rip.

That’s odd, I just decompressed the original archive and it all sounded fine. It’s probably something on Mega’s end, I’ll have to see.

Weird! It actually seems to be a problem with iTunes/QuickTime. The mp3’s play fine on Audacity… I guess I’ll just download the FLAC’s and convert them to mp3 on my end. Never experienced this before!
