MEDIA STUDY: How did they film this?

Hey, just wondering if any of you are awesome at film, cinematography and shooting etc…
There is a film technique that I’m trying to do, but I don’t exactly know how to do it. It’s probably the coolest thing I’ve seen in film.

How did they create these shots?

Any ideas are welcome, I need all the help I can get.
I think it has something to do with tracking vs aspect ratio, but I’m still learning.
If anyone ACTUALLY knows how to do this, I’d be so grateful if you could teach me! 😀

They look like two different techniques.
The red ball is bolted to the camera, and then the mount has been removed digitally. In at least one of the shots, someone has done digital cleanup on the ball itself. (Unlike most shots, in one of them, the surface of the ball changes even though neither it, nor the people behind it are moving.)
The hand/head thing is done by shooting a wider frame than used (in the highest resolution available,) then using motion tracking/image stabilization (available in Adobe After Effects among others,) to lock onto a particular point. Once the frame has been locked, the image is then blown up so that the image is beyond the edge of the frame no matter how much correction has been made.
