Have fun!
Guess we need someone to go further and analyse the score more closely from both these discs 😉

So this FYC we can look upon as a complement to the OST. Great.
In my opinion, it shows the outstanding quality of this music much better than the original soundtrack.
The Adventures of Tintin score was already in the same way.
1. Dartmoor (4:07)
0:00-0:09 UNRELEASED SEGMENT not on the OST at all! (0:09)
1:03-1:35 Alternate and longer performance compared to OST 01 0:53-1:17 (0:32)
2:23-2:31 UNRELEASED SECTION microedited out of the OST (0:08)
3:12-end Alternate and longer performance compared to OST 01 2:45-end (0:54)
2. The Auction (2:27)

THANKS!!!
The Academy doesn’t care very much for your opinion. It’s so dumb, members from different branches get to pick the winners. Why do you think Hugo won Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing and Achievement in Visual Effects over Transformers: Dark of the Moon? The techniques and lengths Michael Bay’s sound and effects teams go through to achieve what we see and hear is amazing, IMO. Sorry if I’m ranting, I was just having this discussion with someone else a moment ago. Just voicing my opinion, which the academy doesn’t care for either lol
Let’s not forget The Stupid Network won Best Original Score last year

Hey! The Social Network’s score was great, and I’m happy that it won, but I feel like Daft Punk was unrightfully snubbed of an Oscar.
As for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I feel like that should have AT LEAST been nominated. The FYC perfectly demonstrates why.
No offense, but to me, the War Horse score is just another Williams composition. It’s not in the same level as his scores for SW & HP.
No

erm….It’s a sort of beautiful music. Still, I’d have to go with yes (although I haven’t seen the movie, and I probably never will). I just cannot figure out what is happening during this movie, but it cannot be all to exciting. Are they nitting a nice, but sometimes emotional blanket for a lovely horse?

No indeed! Nothing surprised me here, all too familiar, so apparently this score is NOT just another Williams composition, but one that doesn’t come close to other work. It did resembled something like, just another day at the office… But, mind you with an oscar nomination…and that’s weird. I mean, with many movies he’s made an iconic piece of music (both melody and (under)score). This is not that.
Still nice to have had the chance to listen to it. I’ll try it again someday…
"War horse" is certainly not the best John Williams, but it is perhaps the best nominated score last year.
A wonderful, simple theme, great variations and precisely orchestrated and imaginative.
It is perhaps not everyone’s taste, but it is unique and like the most of his works a masterpiece.

You’re being an idiot. How can you know how a film is when you have not seen it yet?
*facepalm*
THX
*facepalm*
Hope you hit hard.. 😛
Well…it’s a sum of things. A score that is just not appealing, it’s boring as … well…knitting. Seeing the several teasers and previews and a special about it. I’d seen it all.
So…brings it down to the question…you like horses?

I didn’t see it because i like horses.
They’re certainly not something i think about every day, just beautiful animals.

LoL They are!

Ah yes, they are knitting a blanket for a Horse, which is why they have ACTION MUSIC.
:eyesroll:
(not that the film is good, I have not seen it, but the score is quite enjoyable, not as good as SW or the Indy Trilogy, but better than Tintin (yawn) or KOTCS (Dully mixed)

You didn’t see the film either and you also think it’s not good?
The score I just don’t know, I don’t feel it, you know? I don’t feel a thing listening to that. Compared to the score of Schindler’s list (Ok, I pick a great one) it is just flat, unmoving .
Agree on the Tintin score…I couldn’t hear that one out in one take..
I am saying I cannot say whether or not it is good or bad because I have not seen it, I don’t know yet.
It still works for me….You’ll have to click the "Create Download Link"-Button!
Same here. I’ve tried refreshing, opening in separate tabs and different browsers.

Please, Can you check the link. Here not work.

alright, I just added a mirror to the first post 🙂
My iTunes Library got corrupted and I lost a ton of scores. Now I’m trying to rebuild it.
That would be highly highly appreciated!!
Thanks in advance
Hannibal

There’s already a link:
I uploaded here (http://ulozto.net/xsc3uo2b/whfyc-7z) my copy of the promo after I compared a track I got from another user; it is the exact same sound as uploaded by ynreob , while the files will differ because of edited metadata. 299 MiB.
