Recently to my GamersUnite26 channel I put up a review of Street Fighter x Tekken and to my surprise, something unexpected happened.
I went to the copyright page and it stated that the review contains visual content from SBSi.
I’ve submitted a dispute saying that the review is under fair use (Which it is because it contains education and criticism which fair use covers) and am now waiting a response.
You can see the review here as for now the video has been allowed to be made public (Hope this isn’t breaking any rules)

Can anyone explain what all this is about? I’ve been making reviews for quite a long time and never before have I encountered this problem.
These people are beyond pathetic.
Honestly, I severely doubt that. The claim appeared right after the video was uploaded, even before the video had 1 view.

Never mind people, I’ve just got up and checked my e-mail and the claim by SBSi has been released.
I guess it was either a mistake or my fair use claim was deemed valid.

If it was a review, you’re more likely to get the fair use treatment.
I think youtube is leaning towards allowing "mashups" and short fan edits to be considered "fair use".
it was probably an automated system matching a soundprint of music
or visual matches. Even if you revert the image or anything.
From Youtube:
What does this mean?
Your video is still available worldwide. In some cases ads may appear next to your video. Please note that the video’s status can change, if the policies chosen by the content owners change. Learn more about copyright on YouTube. (http://www.youtube.com/t/copyright_center)
This claim does not affect your account status.
According to the act of fair use, you are allowed to use copyrighted content provided you use it for parody, criticism, commentary and education.
Littlekuriboh should fall under the parody section of the fair use act so I have no idea why he got banned.
Technic Beat is a video game but why copyright a video game tunes.
some people use it to listen to music without downloading it? in fact i’d guess that’s the majority D:
