Thank you. Porco Rosso was one of the first anime I saw in a theater, and it’s still one of my favorite anime movies.

I wish I have seen any hayao miyazaki movies in theaters. My country as something against anime since …
since I was born???????

These movies were never released in my country in theaters, let alone on sale for VHS or DVD.
Same crazy underground labels brought some movies, but…. they were just testing if there could be great sales…..
In my country we only had released in VHS
ONLY…. Mononoke Hime and Sen to Chihiro no Kamikushi (spirited away for some.)

DVDs came sooooooo late maybe in 2006 or almost 2007 we had a label that released : Howl’s Moving Castle, Laputa….. and that was it.

Well, technically I think Disney has the distribution rights for each and every country that isn’t Japan.

Here I need to replace my Mononoke Hime DVD which has been badly damaged by a friend’s ex, but the blasted thing still has the same price tag as ten years ago. no way i’m paying 20€ for a DVD with close to no bonus content and a barely decent technical finition.

I like my Mononoke Hime VHS :p
