downloaded it from itunes this morning and removed the drm with soundtaxi its 170kbs

Unfortunately, after listening to it, I’ve come to a conclusion that this is a pretty bad score for such an iconic character. Man oh man did they pick the wrong guy to do this. I really wish they could’ve just stuck with Christopher Young. The theme in this one is alright, but just not good enough (for me at least) I know that Ghost Rider is a character that can best be narrated with electric guitar, but it’s way too droopy and mono-toned in this score. Maybe for some named tracks, this tone could work; but the whole damn score!? Some tracks are not even worth being released!

I just wish there was a bit more orchestration and a further developed iconic theme, kinda like in Young’s score.

Don’t let my perception defract you from downloading this score though…judge for yourself.

I agree 100% with you, this is a bad score, the other thing is why would they make an album with 41 tracks? most of the tracks has 1 minute long.
They should mix some cues for better listening experience. this way is so stressful. arrghh…

The highest upload he could post would be 256Kbps which is the basic that Amazon uses with a slight variance from track to track.

H esaid he downloaded it from iTunes. Occassionally, the iTunes M4A format is better, even though the bitrate is similar.

I actually bought this off Itunes….waste of money with this derivative low key bare bones score that sounds more like temp score than even the worst Remote Control Productions score…"Maybe Youve Heard of Me" and "Ghost Rider theme" are the only standout tracks….

eh well.

i haven’t got the chance to listen to the whole album yet and i’ve only tested the GR theme and it seems good to me, i heard Christopher Young produced this score but delegated the scoring job to David Sardy.

it would be nice to hear this at a higher bit rate if possible… 🙂

At first, I wanted to ask "Who is David Sardy?" But then, I looked him up on Wikipedia and learned he scored Zombieland. I like parts of his cue for the finale. He also produced the last album from Oasis, which I liked, but it so does not say anything about his scoring abilities. Kinda disappointed by not seeing Young return, I loved Priest.

…I’m still kinda tempted to rhethorically ask "Who is David Sardy?"

since the source could only be at 256kbps then it would be good enough and no need to convert to 320 as again it might just decrease the quality doing so…

to FLAC or not to FLAC that is the question?..not at the moment unless the physical cd is out already and someone might be kind enough to share as well

As for losing wars…meh. I hate to admit it, but the upper hierarchy of the french army has always been a bunch of idiots. The only efficient part of the french army is, curiously enough, the Foreign Legion. But I’m off topic. And, well…to go back to the topic, gave it a quick listen…It’s bad. not "My ears are bleeding" bad, but pretty bad nonetheless. Young’s score was a thousand time better than this. Heck, this score would be ok for a direct to video movie with has been actors, directed by an unknown director, with filming done in Romania or any other eastern europe country where they turn most of those DTV.
