The Super Marcato Bros. is a brand-spanking new Video Game Music podcast. We mainly discuss the musical aspects of tracks- such as melody, harmony, chords and rhythm, but as well as the technical aspects- such as the hardware limitations, and the ways the tracks are used in the games. I started with Episode 11, Show & Tell Pt 2. You mentioned an episode about a game called "Easy" or something like that. You said the composer was taught by Joe Hisashi. What episode is that from, I am interested to hear more.

That was "Ys." We did two episodes on this series. The first was music strictly from the first two games, which were composed by Yuzo Koshiro, who indeed studied composition from Joe Hisaishi! Here are the links to the episodes. The Ys series has absolutely amazing music. Enjoy!
