I’ve Earned my Wings
I’m back on my feet again
I’ve got my wings to fly,
off I go into the world,
onward I’ll venture.
I am no longer hidden and shy,
I’ll go where I want, when I want.
I’m sure of who I am
and nobody can hold me back.
Truth be told or truth be hold
Now I a free
and my wings are ready to unfold.
I am ready to be me.

A beautiful butterfly reveal herself from the pupa. It is a slow operation, one wing and one wing. Finally she come out from the pupa, catch on a twig waiting until she is dry and then fly, fly elegantly. — Just what I imagine when I read this poem. Very beautiful.
